Job summary

Recruit123 is seeking Material Handlers/Warehouse Assistants in Singapore to support chemical/petrochemical warehousing. You will receive, store, and move chemical materials safely, operate forklifts, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Roles involve picking, packing, labeling, and coordinating with logistics teams while observing strict safety and hazmat procedures. Candidates with forklift/hazmat certifications have an edge; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum N/O level; certifications (forklift, hazmat) an advantage.
• Prior experience in warehouse/material handling, preferably within a chemical, oil & gas, or industrial environment.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends/public holidays where required.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move materials as required.
• Strong safety awareness, particularly around hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming chemical materials according to safety and handling protocols.
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch with accurate labeling and documentation.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and per SOPs.
• Handle chemical materials per MSDS and hazmat guidelines.
• Conduct regular stock counts and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure proper storage segregation of chemicals (incompatible substances).
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse/storage area.
• Support loading/unloading of trucks and coordinate with logistics teams.
• Report damaged goods, spills, or safety hazards promptly per incident protocols.
• Comply with WSH and hazmat handling regulations.

Our clients operate chemical/petrochemical warehousing and storage facilities in Singapore, seeking reliable Material Handlers to support inventory and material movement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming chemical materials/drums/containers according to safety and handling protocols
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and in compliance with SOPs
• Handle chemical materials in accordance with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) guidelines and hazmat protocols
• Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure proper storage segregation of chemicals (incompatible substances, temperature-sensitive items)
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse/storage area
• Support loading/unloading of trucks and coordinate with logistics/transport teams
• Report damaged goods, spills, or safety hazards immediately following incident protocols
• Comply strictly with workplace safety and health (WSH) and hazmat handling regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum N/O level; relevant certifications (e.g., forklift license, hazmat handling) an advantage
• Prior experience in warehouse/material handling, preferably within a chemical, oil & gas, or industrial environment
