Job summary

The Salvation Army Singapore is seeking a reliable Warehouse Forklift Operator to support Re:Nue’s logistics workflows at the Defu Industrial area in Singapore. You will handle bulky donation items, manage inventory movements, operate forklifts, and maintain a safe, clean workspace within a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, hold a valid forklift licence, understand general warehouse operations, and can work with minimal supervision.

• Maintain inventory movement reporting and safety compliance.
• Restrict access to authorized personnel at loading/unloading areas.
• Assist in warehouse maintenance and keep tools/equipment in safe condition.
• Ensure forklifts are checked daily and kept clean.
• Follow safety rules and report incidents promptly.
• Work as a team and participate in meetings and briefings.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Re:Nue is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.

Re:Nue also strives to assist humanitarian needs in times of crisis and emergency, leveraging its logistics network to deliver aid to crisis areas in the region quickly and efficiently.

Working closely with local and international organisations, Re:Nue engages them in meaningful programmes for their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Carry out duties with utmost personal integrity, reliability, and time commitment.
2. Report to the Manager daily on all instructions about material handling matters.
3. Ensure that all bulky donation items received are properly handled and placed in the respective areas - retail, wholesale, recycling, and disposal.
4. Ensure that all shipments and orders for both wholesales and humanitarian aids are carried out professionally.
5. Ensure items are correctly allocated and reported in the inventory movement.
6. Ensure that non-authorized personnel are not permitted to be in the Warehouse at the loading/unloading areas at all times.
7. Assist in the proper maintenance of the warehouse.
8. Ensure that all tools and equipment are in safe and working condition.
9. Ensure that forklifts assigned under your charge are checked every morning that they are in good working condition.
10. Ensure that the forklifts are kept clean at all times and thoroughly washed once a week.
11. Keep work areas safe and clean at all times.
12. Be properly attired, putting on Personal Protective Equipment when necessary, at all times.
13. Adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations.
14. Report to the respective Supervisor/Manager any feedback/incident/damages promptly.
15. Work as a team and participate in team meetings, daily briefings, and debriefings.
16. Undertake any projects and specific duties as assigned by management from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Physically fit and able to perform tasks that require lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
• Possess a valid Forklift Operator Licence,
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role will be an advantage.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for inventory checking and recording purposes.
