Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) seeks a Senior Manager to lead and shape its R&D strategy, driving Singapore’s maritime research competitiveness. You will coordinate with the Deputy Executive Director and a team of R&D managers, steering gap analyses, program planning and multi-stakeholder engagement to translate research into impact.

You will engage with government agencies, IHLs/RIs, and maritime partners to advance platforms for collaboration, technology transfer and programme governance.

Competenze

• Background in science and engineering with 5 years of relevant work experience, including 3 in supervisory roles.
• Experience in strategy formulation, technology road mapping and translation.
• Experience with grant governance, funding guidelines or compliance.

Mansioni

• Support the Deputy Executive Director and collaborate with R&D managers to strengthen industry-academia collaborations.
• Map developments, conduct gap analyses, and develop strategies for translation, deployment and internationalisation of R&D.
• Plan and manage R&D programs and initiatives, evaluate proposals, and oversee budgets and reporting.
• Engage overseas IHLs/RIs and maritime companies to foster partnerships and technology commercialisation.
