Job summary

MOL GLOBAL SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced HSEQ Superintendent to oversee the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems across managed fleet and shore offices.

The role requires strong knowledge of shipping regulations and the ability to translate requirements into practical guidance for vessels and shore staff. Key duties include monitoring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and ISM Code, maintaining SMS documentation, delivering audits, and driving continual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nautical Science or equivalent maritime qualification.
• Minimum five years of maritime experience including tanker operations.
• Master Mariner with recognised CoC; command experience preferred.
• Experience with ISM/ISO auditing and incident investigation desirable.
• Strong knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC and ISPS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with international conventions, flag/state and company policies.
• Maintain and improve the SMS and update related documentation.
• Collate HSEQ data monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Plan and conduct shipboard and shore audits and inspections; support certification.
• Coordinate corrective actions from audits and incidents; share lessons learned.
• Assist investigations, root cause analysis and risk assessments.
• Monitor HSEQ performance indicators and prepare management reports.
• Provide practical safety guidance to masters and vessel teams.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills and incident coordination.
• Promote proactive safety culture through visits and training.
• Assist in SMS reviews and audits; travel as required.

Education
