Royal Steensma B.V. seeks a dedicated HSE Officer to oversee Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across maritime operations. The role requires a strong background in shipping, oil & gas, or marine engineering.

You will implement safety management systems, conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and foster a robust safety culture onshore and aboard vessels, aligning with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, and MLC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of HSE experience in Shipping, Offshore/Onshore, or Marine Engineering sectors.
• Hands-on experience with vessel operations, shipyard management, or offshore projects.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain the HSE Management System (HSEMS) in maritime/offshore standards.
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and risk assessments for shipboard, shipyard, and offshore ops.
• Carry out HSE audits, inspections, and vessel walkthroughs to ensure safe practices and environmental policies.
• Oversee permit-to-work (PTW), hot work safety, confined space entry, working at heights, and hazardous materials handling.
