Golden Harvest Shipping Service (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned maritime compliance professional to monitor regulatory standards, coordinate audits, and support Masters during inspections.
The ideal candidate holds a Master Mariner certificate with extensive seagoing and shore-based experience, and will lead investigations, safety campaigns and reporting to senior management.
Monitor vessels to ensure compliance with international regulatory standards (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc).
Plan, coordinate and follow-up on internal audits, statutory inspections, and vetting by oil majors.
Conduct pre-berth and vetting inspections; support Masters and Officers during audits.
Review and ensure vessel performance, navigation practices, cargo operations and safety procedures meet standards.
Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Provide guidance on emergency procedures and participate in emergency response planning.
Support safety campaigns, drills, and crew training.
Prepare inspection and compliance reports for senior management.
Liaise with Masters, crew, technical teams, flag/port state authorities, classification societies and oil majors.
Maintain audit, inspection and risk management documentation.
May support vessel dry-docking and maintenance coordination
Maritime qualification: Master Mariner or equivalent Certificate of Competency (CoC) (Class 1 often preferred).
Seagoing experience on tankers/merchant vessels; shore-based marine experience is highly valued.
Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and industry practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections.
