Overview
Day to day running of all matters related to the construction of the project eg. Planning of works for the site team and sub-contractors. Arrangements for logistic, hoisting, and scaffolding access in support of daily operations. To control materials, plan the overall schedule and implement specific planning measures. Conduct site meetings with site personnel and sub-contractors to review works’ progress and resolve conflicts among the various sub-contractors. Attend site WSH meetings with WSH Officer and review follow-up actions, to ensure site environment and workplace is safe and project works implemented in safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Receive hands-on training under experienced cargo officers and cargo superintendents in bunker delivery operations.
- Good communication with ship crew and superintendent.
- Attend vessel performs inspections, calibration, testing and troubleshooting on electrical & automation.
- This role will provide overall management direction for a project or group of projects and will perform additional duties that include procuring equipment and materials.
- MacGregor is looking to hire a Service Engineer with Mechanical and hydraulic competence.
- To maintain and disseminate technical specifications to superintendent and supervisor.
- Assist the Project Manager in implementation of the project plan within the project scope.
- The Purchaser supports the Technical Department by handling day-to-day procurement operations in alignment with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Administers, monitors and ensures that all operations conform to safety requirements and maintains high safety standards.
- Create Document submission and Material submission lists and prepare submissions.
- Assist the Senior Engineer/construction superintendent in assigning tasks to work teams.
- To achieve the overall business objectives of the Project/Construction.
- Responsible for the technical performance of projects assigned.
- Coordinate and maintain project documentation and special inspection documents.
- Work with staff from other departments and disciplines to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the site.
Requirements
- Possess Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- At least 8 years of construction site management experience.
- Hands-on experience with subcontractor coordination, logistic planning and safety audits and incident investigation.
- Proven track record in Singapore projects (high-rise, mixed-development, or civil).
- BCA Certified (e.g., SCAL’s Construction Superintendent or PMP); MOM Safety Supervisor certification (added advantage).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
