Job summary

Nordic Flow Control Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate shipyard and marine construction activities, oversee FEED/EPC phases, and ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and SOLAS standards. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, and testing of marine systems, with liaison to clients and subcontractors.

The candidate should have a diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years in the field, and strong MS Office skills

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in process/marine/construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures (PQR/WPS) is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Plan and oversee sea trials, inclining experiments, and stability assessments.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and forecast financial performance.
• Monitor daily construction activities, progress, and workforce allocation; track budgets and expenditures.
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, installation, site works, and compliance with safety, quality, design standards and commissioning.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, OSHA, EPA, ATEX) and client specs.
• Ensure compliance with marine codes and standards (IMO, SOLAS, DNV, ABS, BV).
• Develop detailed project execution plans (PEPs) and track milestones.
• Review P&IDs and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate FEED and EPC phases; coordinate FAT, SAT, and pre-commissioning.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities; manage interface with subcontractors and inspectors.
• Manage integration and testing of propulsion, ballast, and navigation systems.
• Maintain records, progress reports, submittals, and inspection records.
• Monitor fabrication, welding, outfitting, and testing of marine systems.
• Review and coordinate marine engineering designs (hull, propulsion, piping, HVAC).
• Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases.
