Job summary

Penguin International Limited is seeking a Project / Repair / Maintenance Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute vessel repair, maintenance, upgrading, and engineering projects. You will ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while meeting quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will review technical specs, supervise activities, coordinate stakeholders, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in vessel repair, maintenance, shipbuilding, or marine engineering preferred.
• Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintenance documentation.
• Familiarity with project planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise repair, maintenance, retrofit, and upgrading activities for vessels and marine systems.
• Review specs, drawings, work scopes, and customer requirements.
• Monitor progress and ensure milestones on schedule.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare work plans, inspection schedules, and project reports.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and defect rectification.
• Conduct site inspections and assess vessel conditions.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with classification, statutory, and company requirements.
• Attend meetings and liaise with customers and suppliers.
