Responsibilities

• Review machinery and equipment specifications and ensure compliance with technical specs.
• Familiar with equipment specs and installation requirements for main engines, generators, propulsion, HVAC, etc.
• Understand marine piping systems and select pumps, valves and pipe materials that meet pressure ratings.
• Liaise with designers and vendors to develop pipe schematics and equipment installation plans.
• Review mechanical interfacing for major equipment including main engine, gearbox and propeller shafting.
• Collaborate to develop 3D ship models for production, handling routing clashes and generating MTO for piping.
