Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd. Singapore seeks an Electrical/Marine Engineer to lead manpower planning for the department and ensure timely, safe vessel repairs and compliance with standards.

You will coordinate with owners representatives and class surveyors, review drawings, monitor progress and hours, and drive improvements in productivity and safety. 5 days work week; 7.25am-5pm; Benoi Road.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in marine industry or similar capacity.
• Knowledge of ship’s electrical systems, control systems and their classification requirements.
• Able to interpret technical/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of class requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy manpower and material resources to meet production schedules.
• Assist in planning department manpower projections and weekly deployments.
• Monitor project progress and man-hours to avoid delays and stay within budget.
• Liaise with owners representatives and class surveyors during witness/inspection.
• Raise Sub-Contractor order forms and monitor deployment.
• Prepare for VSCC meetings and review department documentation.
• Identify training needs for staff and enforce safety measures.
• Study work processes to improve quality and productivity.
