Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Draftsman to prepare and maintain electrical drawings for marine and industrial projects. You will translate technical requirements into precise diagrams and supporting documentation while collaborating with engineers and project teams.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of drafting experience, be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office, and be able to interpret electrical specifications and drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Drafting or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of electrical drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Able to interpret electrical specifications, engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience in marine, offshore, construction or industrial projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Detail-oriented with good organisational and communication skills.
• Fresh graduates with relevant drafting knowledge may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable-routing plans and equipment-layout drawings.
• Produce and revise drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software.
• Develop single-line diagrams, termination drawings and cable schedules.
• Update drawings based on engineering changes, site conditions and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable technical standards and project specifications.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions and document-control records.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, suppliers and site personnel.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Assist with site surveys and verification when required.
