Job summary

SINCO AUTOMATION S PTE LTD is seeking a highly motivated Marine Automation Engineer to join our marine engineering team. The role focuses on vessel automation, electrical systems, pneumatic controls, and instrumentation across onboard vessels and offshore assets.

You will support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and repair of automation systems, reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and drawings while liaising with shipowners, yards, and equipment

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in marine automation, offshore, shipyard, or vessel maintenance.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair marine automation systems onboard vessels.
Commission and calibrate automation and instrumentation systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control panels.
Service vessel alarm, monitoring, control, and safety systems.
Travel locally and overseas to support vessel operations.
