Job summary

Applied Materials in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain fabrication methods, sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies.

You will collaborate with other engineering groups to release product improvements and apply lean principles, automation, and DFx to reduce costs and improve quality. You will establish time standards and tooling needs to support efficient production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and processes.
• Coordinate release of product improvements and new products.
• Estimate and reduce manufacturing costs while improving quality.
• Determine time standards and tooling requirements.
• Develop and use test procedures and analyze results.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions during assembly/testing.
