Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a hands-on CNC Machinist in Singapore to set up, operate and maintain a range of conventional and CNC machines. You will read blueprints, use gauges for precision checks, and keep detailed records while maintaining a tidy workstation.

The role requires good English, at least 2 years in precision engineering, and rotating shifts. Join RTX's Collins Aerospace unit to contribute to high-precision manufacturing in a globally respected aerospace and defense organization.

Qualifications

• NITEC/Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and communicate in English.
• Willing to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain CNC machines such as Milling, Lathe, and Surface Grinding.
• Set up measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for precise inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Maintain records and shop paperwork in line with drawings.
• Keep work areas and machines clean and organized after use.
• Notify Supervisor promptly of any machine or tooling problems affecting quality or safety.
• Engage in any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain all types of conventional or CNC machines such as Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching and conventional machines in the cell/process.
• Setup, operate and maintain all measuring equipment, gages and fixtures for making accurate inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain pertinent records; Shop-paper and work in accordance to technical instructions and drawings.
• Work in an orderly manner and keeping work areas, benches and machinery in a tidy and clean condition after used.
• Notify the Supervisor timely for any machine or tooling problems which could jeopardize product quality or infringe safe work conditions.
• Engage in any other activities or responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts
