Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Singapore is seeking a skilled CNC/Conventional Machine Operator for onsite work. You will set up and run machines, inspect parts with gauges, read blueprints, and maintain orderly work areas while following technical drawings and QC procedures. The role requires 2+ years in precision engineering, NITEC level qualification, and basic English.

Qualifications

• Must have NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Basic written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain CNC or conventional machines (Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching).
• Operate measuring equipment and fixtures for accurate inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure production quality.
• Maintain shop records and follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized after use.
• Notify Supervisor promptly of any machine or tooling issues impacting quality or safety.
• Perform other tasks as required by Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Setup, operate and maintain all types of conventional or CNC machines such as Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching and conventional machines in the cell/process.

• Setup, operate and maintain all measuring equipment, gages and fixtures for making accurate inspection checks.

• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.

• Able to read and interpret blueprints.

• Maintain pertinent records; Shop-paper and work in accordance to technical instructions and drawings.

• Work in an orderly manner and keeping work areas, benches and machinery in a tidy and clean condition after used.

• Notify the Supervisor timely for any machine or tooling problems which could jeopardize product quality or infringe safe work conditions.

• Engage in any other activities or responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

• NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.

• At least 2 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.

• Basic command of written and spoken English.

• Able to work weekly rotating shifts
