Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Singapore is looking for a skilled technician to set up, operate and maintain CNC machines including milling, lathe and surface grinding. You will read blueprints, perform inspections, and keep accurate records to uphold product quality.

Join a precision engineering team in a dynamic environment with rotating shifts. At least 2 years' experience and NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent are preferred, along with good English communication.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain CNC machines (Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching).
• Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints; ensure adherence to technical instructions and drawings.
• Keep shop records and maintain tidy work areas and equipment.
• Report machine or tooling issues to Supervisor promptly.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain all types of conventional or CNC machines such as Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching and conventional machines in the cell/process.
• Setup, operate and maintain all measuring equipment, gages and fixtures for making accurate inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain pertinent records; Shop-paper and work in accordance to technical instructions and drawings.
• Work in an orderly manner and keeping work areas, benches and machinery in a tidy and clean condition after used.
• Notify the Supervisor timely for any machine or tooling problems which could jeopardize product quality or infringe safe work conditions.
• Engage in any other activities or responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts
