Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Team Leader to lead production associates and ensure targets, quality, safety and efficiency are met on the shop floor.

You will monitor production quality, conduct daily briefings, oversee assembly operations, and drive process improvements while supporting NPI and model launches. The role requires strong leadership and adherence to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of Team Leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English as the working language.
• Knowledge of production monitoring and ISO documentation requirements.

Job Scope

• Lead and coordinate production associates to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Monitor product quality during production and promptly elevate production or quality issues to the appropriate stakeholders.

• Perform and oversee assembly operations involving complex components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies across multiple production areas.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation initiatives.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and new model implementation activities.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating effectively.
• Train, coach, and guide associates on production processes, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new employees and junior team leaders.
• Promote a positive work culture by acting as a role model and demonstrating professional conduct.
• Support cross-training initiatives across different production areas to enhance workforce flexibility.
• Monitor attendance and assist supervisors with workforce planning and manpower coordination.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, processes, and operational procedures.
• Support probation reviews and training assessments for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and report safety concerns, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and elevate production-related issues in a timely manner and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate effective communication between production associates, supervisors, and management.
• Provide support to other production areas and departments as required.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work on rotating shifts as required (mandatory).

Requirement

• Minimum 2-3 years of Team Leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum secondary school education, technical certification, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of production monitoring and ISO documentation requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manpower planning and production line balancing.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform manual handling tasks when required.
• Good command of English as the working language.
