Job summary

Ichor Systems Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with global teams and drive manufacturing innovations for new and existing systems. The role focuses on ensuring production readiness, quality, and efficient processes in a cleanroom setting.

You will support assembly and testing on the floor, lead process improvements, and work with AutoCAD, Inventor, and programming tools to enhance tooling and fixtures. Strong cross-functional communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or related field).
• At least 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in semiconductor, electronics, or engineering industries; cleanroom experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Power Apps, and Power BI; design software experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, Inventor.
• Familiarity with Python, VBA, LabVIEW, and C++ for test scripts and automation.
• IE background is a plus for process optimization.
• Excellent communication to interact with stakeholders globally and willingness to join meetings across time zones.
• Willingness to work in a Class 100 ISO 5 cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical, quality, and production challenges.

• Partner with US engineering team to lead NPI and Product Transfer initiatives.
• Oversee timely release of documentation and reports for production readiness.
• Provide hands-on technical support during assembly and final testing on the floor.
• Drive creation and deployment of work instructions in the MES system.
• Analyze build processes, identify risks, and implement PFMEA-driven improvements.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, and technical data sheets.

• Partner closely with our US engineering team to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Transfer initiatives.
• Oversee the timely release of critical documentation and reports to ensure smooth production readiness.
• Provide hands-on technical support during assembly and final testing on the production floor.
• Drive the creation and deployment of work instructions within our manufacturing execution system.
• Analyze build processes, identify potential risks, and implement improvements using PFMEA analysis.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics and Bill of Materials and technical specification data sheets.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).or related field.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in semiconductor, electronics, or engineering industries, with a preference for cleanroom manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Power Apps, Power BI; Design software experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, and Inventor for tooling and fixture development.
• Familiarity with software programming languages, including Python, VBA, LabVIEW, and C++ for developing test scripts and automation.
• Added advantage for candidates with a background or knowledge in Industrial Engineering (IE) to optimize process efficiency and productivity.
• Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels globally and the flexibility to participate in meetings across various time zones.
• Willingness to work in a Class 100 ISO 5 Cleanroom Environment.
