Job summary

Owens Corning Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift (2pm–11pm) to oversee production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and environmental compliance across the plant.

You will coordinate with functions to meet quality, cost and delivery targets, develop SOPs, and help train the team on manufacturing methods and safety standards. Location: 3 Tuas Loop, Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Diploma/Technical cert in Engineering with 5+ years of manufacturing experience is acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality tools and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety responsibilities; drive risk assessments, audit program, and enforce safety.
• Establish production schedules and targets to meet orders.
• Collaborate with planning and other functions to improve quality, costs and efficiency.
• Advise management on manufacturing activities and corrective actions.
• Oversee manpower planning and management for the section.
• Manage standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop and maintain Employees Skills Matrix and conduct team training.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and costs.
• Perform other related duties as required by management.

Job description

Position: Manufacturing Engineer (2nd shift – 2pm to 11pm)

The primary focus is to oversee manufacturing activities to ensure continuous and efficient production at a desired level of quantity, quality and cost, to develop and enforce plant safety and environment programs in compliance with all related local and national government regulations, also involved in new product and new processes

The position reports to: Operation Leader

Responsibilities

• Adherence to safety responsibilities; drive Risk Assessment in processes, enforce safe behavior, ensure team members competency and enforce compliance to safety requirement; manage internal safety observation and audit program;
• Establish production schedule and targets to meet the requirements of orders;
• Coordinates with other functions in planning and implementing operations programs that lead to improvements in quality, costs and overall efficiency;
• Advise management on manufacturing activities, performance and results and recommends related corrective actions;
• Operation manpower planning and management;
• Manage section Standard operating Procedure (SOP);
• Talent management – Team Training & Development, include maintenance of Employees Skills Matrix
• Continuous Improvement in processes, cost, etc ;
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the management.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering or related subjects and with at least 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment;
• Technical Cert /Diploma in Engineering or related subjects and with at least 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment;
• Good knowledge of working efficiency, manufacturing processes, quality tools, safety & Manufacturing Environment expectation
