Job summary

Owens Corning in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support continuous production and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines. Shift rotation includes 8.30am–5.30pm and 2nd shift 2pm–11pm.

The role reports to the Maintenance Leader and involves maintaining equipment, coordinating with contractors, calibrating systems, and data entry for maintenance records. A technical diploma and 2+ years in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Cert in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental practices.
• Understanding of PLC programming.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Laser safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental protection and housekeeping in the production area.
• Perform general building and equipment maintenance repairs and services.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance checks.
• Enter data and report on maintenance database system.
• Maintain original drawings and blueprints of facility and equipment.
• Escort and monitor external contractors on site.
• Configure and calibrate equipment; replace or repair worn parts.
• Diagnose and fix faults in equipment and machines.
• Install new or refurbished equipment and control systems.
• Source replacement parts when issues cannot be fixed immediately.
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position: Maintenance Technician

(Rotating – Normal shift 8.30am to 5.30pm / 2ndshift 2pm to 11pm)

The primary focus is to support maintenance activities to ensure continuous and efficient production at a desired level of quantity/quality. Ensure works carried out are in compliance with all related local and national government regulations.

The position reports to: Maintenance Leader

Responsibilities:

• Safety, environmental protection, and housekeeping in production area, ensure safety standards are used which comply with company policies and local government guidelines.
• Perform a wide variety of general building and equipment maintenance repairs and services.
• Perform and carried out scheduled maintenance checks
• Data entry and report on maintenance database system
• Administer the original drawings and blueprints of the facility and equipment
• Assist and escort in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
• Configuring and calibrating the equipment. Making adjustment on the equipment. Replacing or repairing worn or faulty parts
• Diagnosing and fixing faults on equipment and machines independently
• Installing new or refurbished equipment and control systems
• Sourcing for alternative replacement parts if problems cannot be put right straight away.
• Work on special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined. Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the management.

Requirement:

• Technical Cert /Diploma’s holder in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related subjects;
• Minimum 2years’ experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment;
• Good knowledge of working efficiency, manufacturing, quality, safety &environment;
• Possess laser safety certification and maintenance of laser (added advantage).
• Understanding of PLC programming;
• Good computer skills (MS Office);
