Job summary
GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced design and drafting engineer in Singapore to support manufacturing, semiconductor/HDD equipment, automation, and cleanroom projects. You will prepare detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks, develop fabrication and assembly drawings, and ensure compliance with project standards.
The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and strong skills in fabrication, documentation, and GD&T.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics/Industrial Design Engineering.
- 3–5 years of design and drafting experience in manufacturing, semiconductor/HDD equipment, automation, or cleanroom projects.
- Experience supporting equipment installation, modification, or improvement projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including 3D modelling.
- Strong experience in fabrication, assembly, and engineering documentation; knowledge of GD&T.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D models/assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Develop fabrication, assembly, installation, layout, and as-built drawings for equipment and facilities.
- Review vendor drawings for compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Manage drawing revisions, document control, and engineering change records.
- Support equipment design modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Conduct site measurements and translate them into accurate drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve drawing issues.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to support project requirements.
- Provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning.
