Job summary

KLA is seeking a scientist/engineer to advance manufacturing processes for high-precision Electron Optics systems. You will work with Operations, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve system-level issues and drive data-driven improvements.

The role requires a PhD or Masters in Physics/Electron Optics, with hands-on instrument experience; strong troubleshooting and ability to communicate technical solutions at the divisional level are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physics, Electron optics or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Electron Optics or related instruments welcomed.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for experiments, modeling and data analysis.
• Ability to champion technical solutions to manufacturability issues in design.
• Ability to present technical information effectively to a divisional audience.

Responsibilities* Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly methods, alignment procedures, and test methodologies for high-precision Electron Optics systems.* Work closely with Operations, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain to resolve system-level manufacturing and product performance issues* Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for yield, reliability, performance, and manufacturability issues using data-driven problem-solving methodologies.* Identify manufacturing risks early in the product development cycle and drive mitigation plans through design reviews, process validation, and production readiness activities.* Acting independently, devise and drive innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems.* Analyze data and/or utilize modeling to drive process, specifications, and design improvements.* ### Setup complex project plans, across multiple resources disciplines, and drive to completion.* ### Partner with suppliers and external manufacturing partners to develop and qualify critical components, processes, and technologies.* Travel up to 15%Qualifications**Preferred experience:*** Experience with Electron Optics and High Voltage for scanning electron microscopes or equivalent a plus.**Requirements:*** Masters or Doctorate in Physics, Electron optics or related fields.* Entry level Doctorate candidates with strong relevant knowledge, and/or relevant instrument hands-on experience is welcomed.* Possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set-up experiments, modeling, and data analysis.* Ability to champion his/her technical solutions to manufacturability issues found with the design.* Ability to create effective technical presentations up to the divisional level.**Minimum Qualifications**Doctorate (Academic) , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years**About KLA**We provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
