Job summary

KLA is seeking a skilled optics professional to manage optical alignment equipment for the latest generation of optical wafer inspection tools, contributing to manufacturing yield and process integration.

You will work with suppliers, design engineers, and quality teams to drive manufacturing readiness, troubleshoot issues, and lead an alignment and testing program.

Qualifications

  • PhD/ MSc/ Bachelors in Physics or Optics with applicable experience
  • Hands-on experience in opto-mechanical assembly, alignment, calibration, integration and testing
  • Knowledge of optical testing equipment: interferometers, autocollimators, alignment telescopes, spectrometers, etc
  • Experience in developing manufacturing procedures and leading a team for assembling and testing optical systems
  • Excellent project management, problem solving and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage optical alignment equipment and related alignment methodologies for the latest generation of optical wafer inspection tools
  • Identify ways to improve yield and predictability of the optical integration process
  • Participate in the integration and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues of the optical systems and subsystems
  • Work with suppliers to resolve component/part quality problems in a timely manner
  • Assist Quality and Purchasing departments in driving supplier quality improvements and cost reductions
  • Participate in design review with design engineers, ensuring manufacturing readiness of the product

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
  • Manage optical alignment equipment and related alignment methodology for the latest generation of optical wafer inspection tools

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor/Master's/Ph.D in Physics or Optics with relevant work experience

  • Good working knowledge of optical testing equipment such as interferometers, autocollimators, alignment telescopes, spectrometers, etc
  • Experience in developing manufacturing procedures and leading a team in assembling, aligning, calibrating and testing optical systems
  • Excellent project management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
