Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational Mandarin Teacher for maternity cover from October 2026 to February 2027. You will deliver engaging Mandarin lessons to pupils from Pre-Prep to Year 9, plan a coherent curriculum and support cultural enrichment activities.

The successful candidate will differentiate instruction to meet varied abilities, collaborate with the Mandarin Department and contribute to the wider school community while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with Mandarin teaching expertise
• Ability to deliver Mandarin across Primary and Early Secondary
• Experience with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Mandarin lessons from Pre-Prep through to Year 9 across age groups
• Lead assessment, tracking and reporting of pupil progress in Mandarin
• Contribute to Mandarin culture events, enrichment and co-curricular activities
• Collaborate with Mandarin Department to ensure curriculum consistency and high teaching standards
• Support safeguarding and maintain strong communication with parents and pupils
