Job summary

Amazon's Internal Risk team seeks an investigator to conduct advanced fraud, cybercrime, and trust investigations. You will lead end-to-end inquiries, primarily using SQL and AI tooling, translating findings into senior- audience intelligence.

Expect collaboration with Legal and HR to shape interview strategies and disciplinary outcomes. The role emphasizes data-driven investigation, independent management of investigations, and delivering credible risk insights that influence global Amazon risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders.
• High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading and writing) for China market-focused research.
• 5+ years of relevant security industry experience in handling risk, fraud investigations, or regulatory compliance.
• Highly proficient in data analysis using SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools, LLMs, or automation frameworks to accelerate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL to complete risk analyses using complex data sets.
• Own our most complex internal risk investigations, including investigative and interview processes.
• Leverage data and Agentic AI solutions to scale risk signals and identify bad actors.
• Conduct large-scale deep dives to derive insights and recommend solutions to product/policy teams.
• Convey detailed technical knowledge to engineering, legal, and product management teams.
