• Support risk & control by adhering to MAS regulations and maker-checker controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Loans Operations

• Process and approve a full spectrum of wholesale banking loan transactions, including loan disbursements, repayments, redemptions, rollovers, restructurings, amendments, and maintenance activities for overseas branches and booking locations.
• Process and approve loan account setup and maintenance in the Multi-Currency Loans System (MCL) and other related systems based on approved credit documentation and facility agreements.
• Prepare, verify, and authorize payment instructions, remittances, and SWIFT messages through relevant banking systems.
• Process and approve accounting and financial entries relating to loans, payments, fees, interest, deposits, and general ledger transactions.
• Perform and approve limit implementation and maintenance in the Loans & Limit Exposure System (LES) and related systems.
• Perform daily reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and within prescribed turnaround times and service level agreements.
• Act as an escalation point for transaction-related issues, operational exceptions, and urgent processing matters during assigned shifts.
• Support time-critical loan processing activities across multiple countries and time zones to meet customer and market cut-off requirements.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, accuracy, customer service, and operational quality.

Operational Support

• Support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc operational reports and management information.
• Maintain proper records, filing and archival of loan documents and operational records.
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing and implementation activities when required.
• Assist in the updating of operational procedures, workflow documents and process manuals.
• Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and support business requirements.

Risk and Control

• Adhere to MAS regulations, internal policies, standard operating procedures and control requirements.
• Ensure compliance with maker-checker controls and operational risk management standards.
• Identify and **escalate** potential control issues, operational risk events and processing errors.
• Support audit, compliance and regulatory reviews by providing required information and documentation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Degree Holder with 3 - 5 years of corporate loans operations experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications especially Excel and Word
• Comfortable in data handling and analysis with Excel
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict payment related cutoff times
• Strong oral and written communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently with key stakeholders to resolve issues
• Self-motivated with initiative and a strong drive to achieve quality work
• Good team player
• Able to work rotating shifts, including Singapore Public Holidays.
• Day Shift: 9:00am to 6:30pm
• Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm to 12:30am
• Night Shift: 12:00am to 9:30am
