Job summary

Singapore Post (SingPost) invites an experienced treasury professional to join the Group Treasury in Singapore, covering front-, middle-, and back-office operations including cash management, FD/FX/derivatives, inter-company lending, banking facilities, and documentation.

You will prepare monthly treasury reports, assist audits, compute WACC, and liaise with legal for agreements, while supporting ad-hoc treasury projects across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5 years of similar experience.
• Proficiency in TMS and electronic banking platforms; intermediate Excel skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify issues and drive solutions.
• Strong communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage SingPost's cash management for greater cash holdings efficiency, enhanced returns and accountability on cash deployment.
• Manage and execute FD, FX, derivatives, bonds, deposit and borrowing transactions.
• Receive and manage inter-company deposit & loan requests.
• Execute treasury transactions in adherence to policies and counterparty limits.
• Set up and negotiate banking facilities at company level and with the group; support legal on agreements.
• Assist in treasury-related documentation (bank documents, etc.).
• Assist subsidiaries and business units to obtain banker's guarantees.
• Prepare and analyze monthly treasury reports and related reports.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Compute WACC for SingPost.
• Develop relationships with other functions, business units and subsidiaries.
• Assist in ad-hoc treasury-related projects.

Job description

Operational Front- Office

• Manage SingPost's cash management for greater cash holdings efficiency, enhanced returns and to ensure greater consciousness and accountability on the deployment of cash
• Manage and execute FD, FX, derivatives, bonds, deposit and borrowing transactions
• Receive and manage inter-company deposit & loan requests
• Execute the treasury transactions in adherence to the Treasury policies eg, comply to counterparty limit etc
• Set up and negotiate banking facilities at Company or ultimate holding company level and cooperate with legal team on review of agreements
• Assist in treasury related documentation (e.g. bank documents, etc.)
• Assist subsidiaries and BUs to obtain Banker's Guarantee from banks.
• Prepare and analyze monthly treasury reports and its related reports
• Support Internal and External Audit
• Compute WACC for SingPost
• Develop relationships with other functions and BUs as well as with subsidiaries
• Assist in ad-hoc treasury related projects

Middle-Office

• Act as TMS system and various electronic banking platform administrator
• Maintain and update list of authorised signatory
• Maintain user access and bank account details in the TMS system

Back-Office

• Facilitate the Finance team and the counterparty's back office on deal confirmation
• Manage the preparation and execution of all documents arising from treasury transactions
• Coordination with counter-parties and internally (e.g. Legal, Company Secretary etc.) on the necessary documentation
• Input/processing of deals to ensure timely settlement
• Liaise with other functional groups or banks to resolve execution issues and provide assistance where necessary

Others

• Assist with Insurance related matters

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 5 years of similar experience. Proficiency in TMS and various electronic banking platforms and intermediate Excel skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions. Strong communication and people management skills.
