Job summary

Recruit Expert Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Trade Finance Specialist to oversee end-to-end activities, including LCs, documentary collections, and bank guarantees.

You will coordinate with banks, customers, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure accurate documentation and timely payments. The role requires a diploma in finance-related fields and at least five years in trade finance within shipping or maritime industries.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Business, Economics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of trade finance experience in shipping, bunkering, commodities trading or maritime industry.
• Proficient in MS Office; exposure to ERP or financial systems.
• Knowledge of trade finance processes, banking practices, and compliance standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trade finance activities including LCs, documentary collections, bank guarantees and related banking transactions.

• Prepare, review and process import/export and shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with LC terms and banking requirements.
• Liaise with banks, customers, suppliers, shipping agents and internal teams to coordinate trade documentation, payments and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor trade transactions, payment schedules and outstanding documents, ensuring timely processing and supporting cash flow management.
• Maintain proper records and support reconciliation, reporting, audit requirements and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Business, Economics or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of trade finance experience within the Shipping, Bunkering, commodities trading or Maritime Industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; exposure to ERP or financial systems.
• Good knowledge of trade finance processes, documentation requirements, banking practices, and compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail with good communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
