Job summary

The Ministry of Education (MOE) in Singapore is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for School Accounts & Payments within the Finance and Procurement Division. You will contribute to policy development, review and implementation for effective financial management in schools.

You will oversee finance operations, drive improvements, engage stakeholders and guide junior officers to ensure timely, quality work in a dynamic environment.

What The Role Is

As a Manager / Senior Manager, School Accounts & Payments in the Finance and Procurement Division, you will be part of a team that supports the development, review and implementation of policies, processes and systems for effective financial management in schools. You may also be assigned to one or more areas of work within the section, including school finance policies, budgeting, accounting, revenue and collections, compliance, systems, and transformation.

What You Will Be Working On

• Oversee and drive workstreams relating to school finance operations, policies and systems
• Analyse issues and provide recommendations to support decision-making and policy implementation
• Lead projects, reviews and transformation initiatives to strengthen financial management in schools
• Engage stakeholders and implement improvements to achieve organisational outcomes
• Provide guidance and support to junior officers within the team, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant experience in areas such as finance and accounting, audit, governance and compliance, revenue operations, systems and process improvement, transformation, project management or stakeholder engagement would be advantageous
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good stakeholder management, communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment
• Resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive improvements
