Job summary

The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA) is seeking a procurement professional on a 2-year contract, with an initial 1-year term and renewal subject to performance. The role partners with line departments to ensure compliant, value-for-money sourcing.

You will review submissions, strengthen processes, and contribute to data analytics and automation initiatives, requiring a tertiary qualification and 3+ years in procurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience.
• Knowledge of Government Procurement and GeBIZ is advantageous.
• Strong critical thinking, resourcefulness, and meticulousness with multitasking ability.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to line departments, providing guidance on procurement rules, policies and processes to ensure compliance and optimal procurement outcomes
• Examine procurement submissions including expenditure papers and award recommendation reports, and provide professional advice on the preparation of sourcing documentation such as specifications, appropriate procurement strategies, and evaluation criteria to achieve value for money
• Review and strengthen internal procurement processes to drive operational efficiency, enhance compliance frameworks, and ensure alignment with best practices
• Undertake additional responsibilities including data analytics, automation projects, and staff training on procurement, as needed

This is a 2-years contract position. The successful candidate will be appointed on 1-year contract in first instance with an option for renewal for another year subject to work performance.
