Job summary

L&K Engineering (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced QAQC Lead for semiconductor plant construction projects.

You will conduct daily on-site inspections for Civil, Structural and Architectural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, ITPs, and client requirements, and lead a QAQC team to rectify defects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering or Building and a minimum of 10 years QAQC experience, with at least 5 years in semiconductor

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years QAQC experience, including at least 5 years in semiconductor fabrication plant projects
• Hands-on CSA site inspections and resolving quality issues
• Willing to perform daily site inspections and manage quality on-site
• Strong leadership and communication in English; Chinese advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site quality inspections for CSA works in semiconductor fab plants
• Ensure works conform to drawings, specs, standards and client requirements
• Inspect ongoing activities and rectify workmanship defects on-site
• Inspect with ITPs, Method Statements and project QA requirements
• Lead joint inspections with clients, consultants, teams and subcontractors
• Supervise QAQC engineers and inspectors on daily site activities
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs and confirm corrective actions
• Conduct material inspections and witness testing of completed works
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve quality issues and prevent defects
• Review QA/QC records, reports and handover punch lists
• Perform final site inspections and support handover
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job description

• Location: Woodland
• Working Hours: 5.5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Sat: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
• Willing to commit to extended hours and shift work during peak periods

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and personally conduct daily on-site quality inspections for Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works in semiconductor fabrication plant construction projects
• Perform hands-on quality inspections to ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and client requirements
• Inspect ongoing construction activities, identify workmanship defects and ensure timely rectification on-site
• Conduct inspections in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements and project quality requirements
• Lead and participate in joint site inspections with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors
• Supervise QAQC engineers and inspectors while remaining actively involved in daily site inspection activities
• Identify non-conformance issues, issue NCRs and conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions
• Conduct material inspections, witness testing activities and verify the quality of completed works
• Coordinate directly with construction teams and subcontractors to resolve site quality issues and prevent recurring defects
• Review inspection reports, quality records, checklists and relevant QAQC documentation
• Conduct final site inspections, manage punch list clearance and support project handover
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant QAQC experience, including at least 5 years in semiconductor fabrication plant construction projects
• Proven hands-on experience in conducting CSA site inspections and resolving construction quality issues
• Must be willing and able to perform daily site inspections and directly manage quality issues on-site, rather than focusing solely on administrative or documentation duties
• Strong technical knowledge of CSA construction activities, cleanroom construction requirements and semiconductor project quality standards
• Familiar with construction drawings, ITP, Method Statements, NCR procedures and quality management systems
• Experience leading QAQC teams and coordinating inspections with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage quality control activities in a fast-paced semiconductor construction environment
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese associate
• Candidates with strong experience will be considered for a higher-level position, with salary adjusted accordingly
