Job summary

LEGO Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a senior APAC Regional Commercial Development professional to translate global strategies into regional priorities and drive portfolio deployment.

You will work with Global Portfolio Management, GCD, Marketing, and regional BUs to shape listings, channel plans, and promotional mechanics, while ensuring APAC needs are reflected in new tools and processes.

This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and travel across the APAC region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years portfolio/growth or category management experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods or related industries.
  • Strong analytical abilities and/or experience in data processing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Some international travel required, predominantly in the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the APAC portfolio segmentation and differentiation strategy.
  • Collaborate with Global Portfolio Management, GCD, Marketing, and regional BUs to support portfolio strategy.
  • Provide channel-specific listing direction for standard retail and guide rare item development.
  • Define win-with-portfolio strategies with APAC Revenue Management and customers.
  • Leverage insights to align listing and merchandising with channel strategy and customer segmentation.
  • Govern APAC deployment to balance global coherence with local flexibility.

Core Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the portfolio segmentation and differentiation strategy for APAC, providing clear guidelines and principles on deployment of the assortment, aligned to Global portfolio deployment guidelines
  • Leverage shopper insights and work in collaboration with Global Portfolio Management, Global Commercial Development (GCD), Marketing, A&I, Channel Excellence, Senior Manager Portfolio Deployment APAC and the regional Business Units to support the development of the portfolio strategy
  • Provide channel specific listing direction for standard (mass) retail and drive development of the rare item approach, considering implications and coherence with other Markets
  • Partner with APAC Revenue Management in defining how to win with the portfolio by channel, and with relevant customers, through tactical and promotional mechanics
  • Collect and leverage quantitative and qualitative insights into listing and merchandising guidelines to ensure fact-based direction setting and alignment with the channel strategy and customer segmentation framework
  • Develop and run governance of the approach across APAC, ensuring a balance of global / regional coherence vs local flexibility, in line with legal requirements and principles
  • Engage, influence and represent the voice of APAC within the global portfolio segmentation and differentiation forums led by the global GCD team
  • Provide subject matter expertise to GCD technology teams in the development of new tools and processes to support portfolio management whilst ensuring APAC needs are recognized in the initial design and development stages
  • Provide change management support to the local BU teams in the deployment of portfolio relevant tools and processes
  • Develop and implement commercial and strategy projects in relation to markets and channels and contribute to the APAC Commercial Development agenda

The APAC Regional Commercial Development (RCD) function is responsible for translating the Global market and Commercial Development (GCD) agenda into regional priorities, in addition to identifying specific APAC plans and initiatives aligned to the global commercial strategy. This includes partnering with the BUs to build and implement the commercial plans locally.

The RCD department responsibilities include channel strategy and expansion, sales processes and planning, regional account management, portfolio deployment, revenue management, sales capability building, unlocking commercial value plus the deployment of sales tools and system planning.

Do you have what it takes?

Minimum 5 years portfolio/ growth or category management experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods / General Merchandise or related industries

Strong ability to think broadly and conceptually, which is essential to develop regional / global concepts and strategies

Strong analytical abilities and/or experience in data processing

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders

Strategic approach with strong commercial acumen

Some international travel required, predominantly in the APAC region
