Job summary

NHG Health is seeking a Manager, Patient Billing Services (Financial Counselling) to lead a team of Financial Advisors providing in-flight financial counselling and referrals to social services. You will ensure continuous daily operations, generate monthly FC statistics, and keep training materials up to date.

The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office; experience with UiPath RPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 2-3 years in supervisory/management roles.
• Experience with RPA projects (UiPath) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support a team of Financial Advisors in FC for in-flight patients.
• Facilitate referral to MSW for financially distressed patients.
• Ensure daily operations run smoothly and provide monthly FC reports.
• Update training materials and conduct refresher FC courses.
• Align policies with MOH guidelines and participate in FC system UAT and projects.

• Participate in organizational Process Improvement/IT projects.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific

i. Oversee and support a team of Financial Advisors to:

• Perform financial counselling (FC) for in-flight patients to help them make informed decisions
• Facilitate referral to MSW for patients with financial difficulties

ii. Manage team's coverage to ensure daily operations are not affected

iii. Provide monthly reports to management for FC related statistics

iv. Update training materials and conduct FC refresher courses

v. Ensure internal policies, work instructions and forms are in line with latest MOH guidelines and policies

vi. Participate in FC system UAT and projects when necessary

vii. Spearhead FC Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives to streamline FC processes

General

• Participate actively in Process Improvement/IT Projects/any initiatives organised by the Organisation
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in supervisory or management capacity
• Preferably with experience in implementing RPA projects using automation tools such as UiPath
• Familiarity with driving workflow changes and AI projects with operations users
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks to meet timelines
• Self-motivated with strong interest in learning and analytical mind
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge in SAP preferred
• Ability to work independently and proactively resolve problems within established parameters in a challenging environment
