Job summary

NTUC Health Co-operative Limited in Singapore seeks a Manager, Operations (Chai Chee Nursing Home) to lead nursing home operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and high safety and service standards. You will oversee facilities, housekeeping, transportation, vendor contracts, and budgets, driving operational excellence and KPI success.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic focus on efficiency, and collaboration with health authorities to ensure resident well-being and safe

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in Business, Building/Facilities Management or Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coordination, interpersonal and people management abilities.
  • Good communication skills; knowledge of data analytics and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Operations team to deliver facilities, laundry, housekeeping, fire command center, and transportation services.
  • Plan, communicate and implement policies; ensure procedures meet operational excellence.
  • Develop and oversee the nursing home in collaboration with health authorities.
  • Develop and implement operations strategy focusing on efficiency and productivity.
  • Streamline cross-department workflows to maintain excellence.
  • Manage vendor services to meet business requirements.
  • Oversee maintenance of environmental services and equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety for residents and staff; audit SOPs as SME.
  • Manage budgets and expenditures; report on KPIs to Centre Director.
  • Assist in budget planning and development of new nursing homes with Centre Director.

Job Description

The Manager, Operations shall assist the Senior Manager in leading the Operations Department to drive operational excellence in the Nursing Home. This includes ensuring that the Nursing Home is in compliance with all regulatory, licensing, safety, and environmental requirements; as well as implementing measures to ensure that the physical integrity of the building structure, its appearance, and optimal functions meet the necessary standards.

You will need to:

  • Lead and manage the Operations team in ensuring the smooth delivery of the facilities, laundry, housekeeping, fire command center, and transportation services in the nursing home
  • Plan, communicate and implement policies, and ensure procedures meet operational excellence
  • Manage and oversee the development of the nursing home in collaboration with health authorities and agencies
  • Develop and implement operations strategy for the nursing home, including but not limited to efficiency and productivity-related projects
  • Manage the streamlining of cross-department workflows and processes to maintain operational excellence
  • Engage and ensure service delivery of contracted vendors and services providers to meet business and operational requirements
  • Assess and submit both ongoing and emergent requests for the maintenance of environmental services and equipment of the Home
  • Ensure that adequate measures are taken to maintain and upkeep the building and environment so as to protect the health and safety of all residents and staff in the nursing home
  • Maintain and upkeep operational SOP and act as subject matter expert to handle regular audits as required, both internal and external
  • Manage and oversee the department's budgets and expenditures
  • Timely reporting and analysis of Operations Management System KPIs (to consult Centre Director)
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as:
    • Involve in budget planning and work with other departments to monitor expenses allocated
    • Assist in developing new nursing homes, such as acquiring equipment, development projects, costing, and planning with the Centre Director
Qualification

You should:

  • Hold a Degree in Business/Building/Facilities Management/Engineering
  • Have 5-8 years of relevant experience, of which 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exhibit good coordination, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Apply knowledge of data analytics, visualization, and related software
