Job summary

ASM is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing operations in Singapore. You will drive production, quality, safety, and on-time delivery through LEAN practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience leading manufacturing operations within semiconductor capital equipment or complex assembly.
  • Experience managing and developing manufacturing teams and frontline leaders.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using manufacturing metrics and KPIs to drive operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
  • Establish production schedules and metrics to satisfy customer and business requirements.
  • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality.
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Lead LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Support manufacturing space expansion and operational readiness projects.
  • Partner with engineering to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing teams are staffed, trained, and equipped to perform work.
  • Lead and develop supervisors, fostering accountability and excellence.
  • Drive productivity and cost improvement programs across operations.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment.
  • Foster disciplined execution and continuous learning across the team.
  • Coach supervisors to strengthen leadership and performance.
  • Conduct performance and development discussions; address employee relations as needed.
  • Anticipate challenges and develop plans to meet output requirements.

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will lead semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing operations, ensuring tools are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will drive operational excellence through LEAN manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and strong cross-functional collaboration. By developing high-performing teams and optimizing manufacturing performance, you will play a key role in supporting ASM's mission to enable the next generation of semiconductor technologies.

  • Partner with engineering teams to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing teams are appropriately staffed, trained, and equipped to perform assigned work.
  • Lead and develop a team of manufacturing supervisors, fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Drive productivity and cost improvement programs across manufacturing operations
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment.
  • Foster a culture of disciplined execution, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors to strengthen leadership capability and team performance.
  • Conduct performance and development discussions and address employee relations matters as needed.
  • Anticipate operational challenges and proactively develop plans to meet manufacturing output requirements.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading manufacturing operations within a semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, or complex assembly environment.
  • Experience managing and developing manufacturing teams and frontline leaders.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using manufacturing metrics and KPIs to drive operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outcomes.
