The Manpower Policy and Planning team works with multiple stakeholders to conceptualise, plan and analyse ICT and Media (ICM) manpower trends to develop strategies for the needs of the economy. To be effective in this role, you should preferably have an understanding of the ICM sector and be able to develop sound data-driven analysis to facilitate policy making. We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to join the Planning, Strategy and Data Team.
Contribute to the formulation and review of manpower policies to keep pace with tech and media developments. Lead research, sense-making and forecasting of tech and media trends, and identify new jobs and skills in demand to inform manpower policy recommendations Develop strategic data insights to support evidence-based policymaking. Prepare papers and presentations to communicate IMDA’s position on tech manpower policy matters to senior management, senior government officials, and Public Office Holders. Implement manpower policies and operations in an effective and timely manner Collaborate within and across government agencies to ensure alignment towards national interests.
Minimally 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in policy or manpower roles in the Singapore Government. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key issues. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with government structures and policy processes would be advantageous. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. Position will commensurate with experience.
