Job summary

The Registry within SG Courts - Supreme Court, State Courts and Family Justice Courts is seeking an experienced Records Management and Hearing Support professional in Singapore. The role focuses on managing court documents, fixing hearings, and delivering high-quality records services to court users.

You will oversee service requests, optimise manpower, and contribute to digitisation of court records while ensuring compliance with rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and oversee the management of service requests in accordance with applicable legislation, rules of court, practice directions, procedures and guidelines.
  • Drive operational excellence through the review and enhancement of work processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery, operational effectiveness and court user experience.
  • Plan, allocate and optimize manpower and operational resources to support business needs and ensure seamless delivery of quality service to court users.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives, transformation efforts and projects that affect the operations of the Supreme Court / Registry.
  • Supervise a team of supporting staff to ensure effective execution of case related operational processes in a timely manner, while maintaining high work standards.
  • Assist in the digitisation and management of court records to facilitate searches and retrieval of records to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks, strengthen service resilience and ensure business continuity; and
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director.

What the role is:

The Registry is responsible for the management and disposal of cases, including the processing, storing, retrieving of court documents and fixing hearings for matters which commenced in the Supreme Court. The candidate will play a key role in providing records management and hearing support services to enhance the satisfaction of court users.

What you will be working on:

  • At least three years of relevant working experience preferably in managing operational work, supervising staff and coordinating resources.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, resourceful and able to prioritise multiple operational tasks while maintaining service and quality standards.
  • A pleasant and cheerful disposition as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well organised and meticulous with a commitment to deliver high-quality work.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Pro-active and able to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

Note:The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the firstinstance.
