Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to support reporting, tax, and treasury across regional markets. You will work with regional teams to deliver accurate monthly financials and assist in audits, ensuring compliance and data integrity. The role requires 7–12 years in Accounting/Finance/FP&A, with SAP S4 HANA and Tagetik experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education in finance/accountancy is required or equivalent.
• CPA/CA qualification is preferred.
• Experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance reporting, with Big4 exposure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional business teams across SEA and Australia to deliver monthly financial reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting deliverables and assist auditors as needed.
• Work with GL shared services and country finance teams to ensure accurate accounts for REEC Market holding companies in Singapore.
• Support tax reporting and coordination on transfer pricing with Group Tax and regional teams.
• Manage treasury and cash management activities, monitor cash positions, and ensure adequate funding.
• Assist in finance due diligence for M&A transactions, including gathering financial information.
• Assist with post-acquisition finance integration and new market setup, including PPA and process harmonization.
• Maintain robust finance processes, controls, and documentation; ensure timely deliverables.
• Demonstrate ownership and proactive follow-up on outstanding items.

Purpose and Scope

Detail-oriented finance professional with hands-on experience supporting reporting, tax and treasury, and day-to-day finance operations across regional markets. Strong capability in managing finance processes, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering timely reporting outputs.

A reliable and mature team player with a structured working style, able to operate effectively in fast-paced environments. Experienced in working closely with business and Group functions to support finance operations, compliance, and reporting requirements.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

• Work closely with regional business teams across Southeast Asia and Australia to deliver monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions
• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables, including collation of accounting papers for internal clearance and submission to Group and external auditors, provide hands-on support to resolve accounting and finance queries from regional finance teams where required.
• Work closely with GL shared services (GLSS) and country finance teams where necessary to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of the accounts of REEC Market holding companies in Singapore.
• Support tax reporting and compliance activities, including data preparation and coordination on transfer pricing matters with Group Tax and regional teams.
• Manage treasury and cash management activities, including monitoring cash positions, coordinating banking matters, and ensuring sufficient funding for business needs.
• (ad hoc) Provide hands-on support for finance due diligence in M&A transactions, including preparation of financial information and review of supporting data
• (ad hoc) Support post-acquisition finance processes or business expansion and new market setup, including acquisition accounting (e.g. purchase price allocation) and integration of finance processes and reporting
• Maintain and enhance finance processes, controls, and documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance
• Demonstrate strong ownership in ensuring accurate, complete, and timely deliverables, with proactive follow-up on outstanding items

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary Education in Finance and/or Accountancy (CPA or CA preferred) with 7-12 years of working experience in Accounting/Finance/FP&A and Big4.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S4 HANA and/or Tagetik is preferred. Proficient in managing data uploads, validation, and reconciliation processes within finance systems and across regional teams’s submissions, ensure consistency of financial data
• Willing to travel on request.
• Strong team player with proactive follow up to ensure timely and accurate deliverables met.
• Meticulous coupled with a strong sense of urgency and responsibility.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Effective and collaborative communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Business-oriented with strong stakeholder (internal and external) management skills
