Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical & Control Manager to lead the Fab10 Facilities Electrical & Control Engineering team.

You will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical electrical and automation infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing. You will drive maintenance strategy, asset management, and continuous improvement while partnering with global engineering teams on capacity expansion and technology transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, data center, or critical facilities environments.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, facility automation, PLC/SCADA platforms, and reliability engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of electrical and control engineers to meet safety and reliability targets.
  • Champion AI, ML, and digital technologies to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure safe operation of HV, MV, LV distribution systems, UPS, generators, PLC, SCADA, and facility automation.
  • Drive predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Develop and execute maintenance, asset management, and obsolescence strategies.
  • Support Fab capacity expansion projects and tool installations with engineering leadership.
  • Manage contractor performance, standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with manufacturing, construction, procurement, and global teams for growth and technology transitions.
  • Monitor KPIs, energy efficiency, and operational excellence programs.
  • Coach and develop talent through succession planning and engagement.

Job Summary

The Electrical & Control Manager is responsible for leading the Fab10 Facilities Electrical & Control Engineering team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical electrical and automation infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing. This position provides leadership for system reliability, operational excellence, maintenance strategy, capacity expansion, and talent development while driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of electrical and control engineers to achieve safety, reliability, cost, and operational performance targets.
  • Champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and digital technologies within Facilities operations to improve reliability, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of HV, MV, LV electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and facility automation systems.
  • Drive equipment reliability and system availability through predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Develop and execute maintenance, asset management, and obsolescence strategies for critical facility infrastructure.
  • Support Fab capacity expansion projects, tool installations, and facility upgrades by providing engineering leadership and project oversight.
  • Manage contractor performance, engineering standards, and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Partner with manufacturing, construction, procurement, and global engineering teams to support business growth and technology node transitions.
  • Monitor and manage department KPIs, budgets, energy efficiency initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data center, or critical facilities environments.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, facility automation, PLC/SCADA platforms, and reliability engineering principles.
