Job summary

AMKOR TECHNOLOGY SINGAPORE HOLDING PTE. LTD. is seeking a cost model specialist with 5+ years in the semiconductor industry to set up online costing models and improve RFQ cost accuracy.

You will bridge customer requirements with factory, engineering, and sales teams, driving knowledge transfer across the Business Pricing unit. The role focuses on UPH usage, OSAT knowledge, SAP and advanced Excel to deliver competitive and profitable cost proposals.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering is required and 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Knowledge of OSAT assembly packaging processes is preferred.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel for large datasets is essential.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable costing insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a resourceful team player with both manufacturing and costing experience to setup and enhance online cost models, improve critical costing information, processes and best practices, and drive knowledge transfer.

The candidate should understand UPH, OSAT manufacturing processes and service offerings, and be able to translate operational inputs into practical costs while bridging customer requirements with internal factory, engineering, business unit and sales teams.

This position is based at our Regional Singapore office.

Core Responsibilities

• Partner with the Business Pricing team to strengthen manufacturing cost inputs and improve the accuracy and consistency of RFQ costing across sales, factories, and business units.
• Validate and improve key costing data, assumptions, processes, and best practices with factories, engineering, and business units, covering Flip Chip, wafer services, and other service offerings.
• Develop, implement, and improve online cost models using reliable UPH, process flow, material, labour, equipment, and overhead assumptions.
• Bridge customer needs with factory, engineering, business unit, sales, and pricing teams to develop competitive and profitable solutions.
• Drive knowledge transfer and strengthen costing capabilities within the Business Pricing team through documentation, training, and the sharing of best practices.

Job Specifications (Qualifications/Experience/Skills & Knowledge/Personal Qualities)

• BS degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge in OSAT assembly packaging processes will be required
• Familiarity with SAP system.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate large data set isa must.
• Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate technical requirements/issues into the business context or vice versa.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
