Job summary

VIS is seeking a Cost & Planning Engineer to lead cross-functional cost saving initiatives in a semiconductor fab environment in Singapore. You will align short- and long-term cost goals with corporate strategy, perform cost and schedule duties, and present findings to Fab GM and senior management.

You will develop metrics, monitor paybacks and risks, and standardize costing and reporting practices while collaborating with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fab operations preferred.
• Capable in capacity planning, cycle time management, and WIP control.
• Strong knowledge of IE methodologies and cost modelling.
• Proficient with data tools (JMP, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, PROMIS MES).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; data-driven mindset.
• Accountable, adaptable and thrives in fast-paced fab environments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and drive cross-functional cost saving projects aligned to corporate goals.
• Understand short- and long-term cost saving targets and ensure alignment to business goals.
• Perform cost and schedule duties under guidance from corporate.
• Present cost control results to Fab GM and senior management.
• Develop metrics and performance indices for cost saving projects.
• Analyze progress, pay-back, risk, resources, and dependencies.
• Define cost estimation scope, assumptions, constraints, and costing methodologies.
• Establish standards for cost recording, reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate with project management to resolve issues and ensure delivery.
• Assist in financial closeout of cost saving projects.
