Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Singapore seeks an experienced warehouse operations leader to manage the day-to-day X-Dock activities, including warehouse, terminal and trucking standards. Responsibilities

• Be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physical Operations (X-Dock).
• Determine X-Dock operating standards, develop systems, and determine manpower usage and requirements.
• Ensure optimal utilization of equipment and materials, organize maintenance and inventory control.
• Develop inter-departmental communication for effective coordination.
• Ensure customer freight is preserved by enforcing proper handling procedures.
• Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and direction to staff.
• Be the main person in charge for warehouse system enhancements and maintenance.
• Manage ad-hoc warehouse projects and work with external stakeholders.

• Be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physical Operations (X-Dock)
• Determine physical operation (X-Dock) - (warehouse, terminal and trucking) operating standards, develop appropriate systems and determine manpower usage and requirements
• Ensure optimum utilization of equipment and materials planning, organizing the maintenance and inventory control methods of these resources
• Develop strong inter-departmental communication to ensure effective coordination with other related departments
• Ensure that customers' freight do not deteriorate whilst under DHL care by enforcing compliance to proper handling/transporting procedure
• Ensure that all staff are aware of the service standards required and are able to perform effectively by providing on-the-job guidance, training and direction
• Be the main PIC for any warehouse system enhancement and maintenance
• Manage any ad-hoc warehouse projects and work with external stakeholders as required
• Undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the company as and when deemed appropriate

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma/ degree with at least 5-8 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in managing physical freight handling
• Prior experience in leading large teams working across shift hours
