Job summary

NUS High School (part of the National University of Singapore) invites applicants for a Malay Language Teacher role within a specialised 6-year science and maths programme. The candidate will teach Higher Malay, Malay Language, and Malay as a 3rd Language, contributing to language events and the overall curriculum.

We seek individuals with a professional teaching qualification, passion for students, and the ability to apply IT-enabled and differentiated pedagogy while mentoring student projects

Qualifications

• A good Bachelor’s Degree in Malay
• Competent in teaching Higher Malay Language, Malay Language, & Malay Language as 3rd Language (Malay Special Programme) at SEC/ GCE O-Level;
• Good understanding of the GCE A-Level H1 Malay Language syllabus and be able to teach the subject when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Malay language within the 6-year integrated curriculum.
• Participate in planning, development and teaching of the integrated curriculum in the relevant subjects.
• Support the planning and implementation of language-related events and programmes.
• Adopt IT-enabled, differentiated, collaborative, and learner-focused pedagogy.
• Initiate and mentor projects to enhance professional and student learning outcomes.
• Contribute as an effective Co-curricular Activities (CCA) teacher and form-teacher.

The NUS High School is a specialised school offering a seamless 6-year programme to students between the ages of 12+and 18 years and who have an aptitude for Mathematics and Science. We invite suitable applicants for the following position.

TEACHER in the following subject: Malay Language

We are looking for candidates who possess a relevant professional teaching qualification (or Post‑Graduate Diploma Education equivalent) and:

• have a passion in the relevant teaching subjects and inspire students to love the subjects via teaching and role modelling
• can participate and contribute to the planning, development and teaching of an integrated 6-yearcurriculum in the relevant teaching subjects as well as support the planning and implementation of language-related events and programmes
• are effective within and outside the classroom, adopt innovative pedagogies such as IT‑enabled learning, differentiated learning, collaborative learning and learner‑focused interaction
• can initiate and mentor projects that enhance both professional and student learning outcomes
• are able to provide for the learning needs and character development of high‑ability learners ranging from 12+ to 18 years of age
• are able to contribute as an effective Co‑curricular Activities (CCA) teacher and form‑teacher

Requirements:
