Job summary

Personnel Link JobHub Pte. Ltd. is seeking a maintenance technician to conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on amusement rides. The role involves inspecting safety-critical components, working at height, and quickly diagnosing ride faults to ensure safe operation.

The ideal candidate has a Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical fields, experience with ride or crane maintenance, and a strong safety mindset. On-site work with occasional extended hours for events is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• Able to perform manual tasks at height outdoors and lift/install components.
• Experience in maintenance of amusement rides, lifts or cranes, aviation, marine or automotive equipment is preferred.
• Able to read and follow technical manuals, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rides (weekly, monthly and annual).
• Inspect safety-critical components (cables, cords, restraints, harnesses, pins and connectors) and replace as needed.
• Work at height on ride towers/structures with proper equipment.
• Respond to ride faults, diagnose causes and restore safe operation with minimal downtime.
• Be trained in emergency, evacuation and rescue procedures and participate in drills.
• Keep premises clean and safe, including minor repairs and touch-ups.
• Provide on-site technical support for events and activities, including setup of equipment, lighting and sound.

Job description

• Perform scheduled (weekly, monthly and annual) preventive maintenance on both rides, which covers mechanical, electrical and electronic control systems.
• Inspect safety-critical components (e.g.cables, cords, restraints, harnesses, pins and connectors, etc.) and replace them at the intervals set by the manufacturer or due to wear and tear.
• Work at height regularly on the ride towers and structures with proper equipment.
• Respond quickly to ride faults and stoppages, diagnose the cause and restore the ride to safe operation with minimal downtime.
• Be trained and competent in the emergency, evacuation and rescue procedures for each ride, and take part in regular drills.
• Keep the premises, interior and exterior, safe,clean and presentable, including minor repairs and touch-ups.
• Provide technical support for events and activities held on site, including set-up of equipment, lighting and soundwhere needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
• Comfortable to perform manual tasks to work atheight on ride towers, in outdoor conditions, and to lift and install components.
• Able to read and follow technical manuals,drawings and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on with hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills
• Experience in maintenance of amusement rides,lifts or escalators, cranes, or aviation, marine or automotive equipment.
• Office location: Central
• 5-day week but available to work on weekends, public holidays, and evenings on occasion.
• Candidates available on short notice preferred
