Start your career as a Maintenance Engineer at BCSS and be responsible for supporting the maintenance organization to develop & execute the 3‑Year Maintenance Plan (3YMP) by translating this into a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and Sustaining/Service Capex projects in order to keep the terminal in optimal condition.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will develop a 3‑Year Maintenance Plan (3YMP) and a Preventive Maintenance Program. You will also ensure maintenance optimisation and continuous improvement, troubleshoot technical problems, equipment and system failures, and support asset life‑cycle management.

- Diploma or degree in Engineering
- In‑depth knowledge of terminal products, equipment, project and maintenance practices
- Strong data analysis acumen with the ability to turn findings into improvement opportunities
- Good knowledge of maintenance, operations, safety and product requirements
- Familiarity with safety, health and environmental regulations and practices
Core Responsibilities
- Develop the 3‑Year Maintenance Plan in consultation with the Maintenance Manager, Planner and Supervisor.
- Determine if an asset requires preventive maintenance based on risk assessments, asset criticality, regulatory requirements, Vopak standards, and maintenance history.
- Specify types of preventive maintenance, adjust schedules based on manufacturer instructions, legislation, Vopak standards, and warranty status.
- Set the frequency of preventive maintenance work orders and identify default activities, procedures and tools.
- Collaborate with the Planner to scope work and default activities, and add cost estimates to the PM schedule and small projects.
- Identify required information for inspection reports.
- Manage terminal asset lifecycle and identify overhaul or Capex needs based on business and sustainability goals.
- Study and develop scope of work and cost estimates for Capex projects, perform tenders for PM contracts and Capex projects.
- Support asset data management and perform inspections to evaluate engineering works or the integrity of existing installations.
- Analyse inspection reports, propose recommendations and actions, and suggest improvements for efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct maintenance analysis and perform quality sampling and inspection of assets or processes.
- Support technicians on complex issues, determine root causes of equipment and system failures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers, acting as primary point of contact within a contract management plan.
- Facilitate internal and external audits and customer audits.
- Lead or support corporate initiatives or pilot rollouts and provide training to Maintenance and Operations technicians.
