Hong Lam Marine Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Mechanical/Marine Engineer to maintain, service and repair diesel engines and related equipment on board vessels. You will read drawings, prepare service reports and work closely with the Workshop team.
This role requires willingness to sail on ships when needed, travel overseas, and operate in a fast-paced workshop environment. A Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or a COC Class III Engine is required, with 5+ years of relevant
Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment (Diesel Engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc) on board all vessels as assigned by Workshop Manager
Troubleshooting all the Mechanical equipment on board vessels
Planning and executing the repair job in the most cost effective method
Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop
Attending to vessels Dry-dock as assigned by workshop Manager
Carrying out any Retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels
Any other duties as assigned by workshop manager and Management
We are looking for a person with Integrity, Commitment and Competency.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering / COC class III (Engine) from a recognized institution with 5 or more years of experiences in relevant engineering
Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet
A Hands-on person who like to work on site, on ship and in workshop
Willing to sail on board vessels as riding Mechanical Engineer when required
Willing to travel overseas when assigned
Good working attitude and team player
Able to work under pressure and tight schedule
Good Experience working on high speed and medium speed diesel engine such as Cummins, Daihatsu, Hanshin, Akasaka, Caterpillar, Yanmar and others
