Job summary

Focal Search Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee the Machining Department in Singapore’s offshore sector. You will train staff, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safety and ISO compliance across projects.

You will also drive operational efficiency, monitor timelines and budgets, inspect offshore vessels as needed, and develop new business opportunities with regional clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, train and coordinate daily Machining Department staff, including onboarding and offshore teams.
• Maintain staff wellbeing and safety for projects.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
• Facilitate efficient operations, track timelines and progress, and keep projects within budget.
• Occasionally inspect and troubleshoot ships and offshore vessels, providing technical support to customers.
• Develop and foster new regional business opportunities with clients.

Job description

• Oversee, train, and coordinate the daily activities of staff in the Machining Department. (Onboard and off-shore)
• Maintain the wellbeing and safety of staff for projects
• Ensure all ISO requirements are met
• Facilitate efficient operations, track timelines, progress, and ensure that projects are within budget.
• Occasionally conduct personal inspections and troubleshooting of ships and offshore vessels and providing technical support to customers.
• Develop and foster new business opportunities with clients in the region.
