Job summary

Qualcomm Singapore RF360 facility is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to sustain line equipment, minimize downtime, and optimize productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform advanced maintenance, calibrations, and support engineers on complex tasks, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to CSR, EHS, and cleanroom standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certificate.
• 3 years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Lead equipment maintenance within area of responsibility.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Analyze equipment data for process improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Assist engineers on more complex tasks.
• Ensure proper PM and calibration per plan.
• Perform type conversions and buy-offs before release to production.
• Maintain equipment and achieve minimum downtime and high OEE.
• Ensure compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S and cleanroom protocols.

General Summary

Job Scope

• Responsible for line equipment sustenance to support production output, scraps, and quality.
• Maintain and upkeep production equipment to achieve minimum downtime, high operating efficiency, and productivity.
• Include equipment repair and troubleshooting, set-up, buy-off, type conversion, fine-tuning and optimization, modification and enhancement, equipment and tools calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Lead equipment maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.
• Mentor and support junior technicians.

Job Responsibilities

• Support and contribute in all production equipment maintenance in his area of responsibility.
• Perform advanced equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Contribute improvement ideas and work on continuous improvement projects.
• Provide training to junior technicians.
• Analyze equipment data for improvements.
• Assist engineers undertake more complex tasks.
• Resolve most problems with minimum guidance.
• Undertake medium complex PM tasks with minimum guidance.
• Provide proper handover and shift pass down.
• Perform PM and tool calibrations as per planned and properly updated (both document as well as PM/Calibration stickers).
• Perform type conversion including equipment fine-tuning and buy-off before releasing it to production.
• Perform equipment repair and troubleshooting, maintaining it at minimum downtime.
• Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certificate.
• 3 years of relevant technical experience.
• Experienced with computer systems and proficient with software applications such as MS Power Point, Excel, and Word.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

• Execute tasks according to instructions with minimum guidance.
• Acquire good troubleshooting knowledge and skills, and able to achieve consistent performance on equipment repair, type conversion and PM.
• Level 2 equipment troubleshooting skills on at least 1 main equipment type.
• Able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Leadership abilities.
