Job summary

PeopleSearch on behalf of a leading Singapore-based main contractor seeks a site-based M&E Supervisor for a large-scale mixed development project in the East. You will report to the Project Manager and M&E Manager and lead on-site coordination of M&E activities to ensure smooth delivery.

Applicants should have a Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC in Building Services or related field with at least 3 years’ experience supervising M&E works on building projects, and be familiar with

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supervising M&E works in building projects.
• Experience with a main contractor is advantageous.
• Able to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiar with ACMV, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works on site.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works align with drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical docs.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on M&E progress and status.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established main contractor on a large-scale mixed development project in the East. Reporting to the Project Manager and M&E Manager, you will play a key role in supervising M&E works on site, ensuring smooth coordination, compliance with project requirements, and timely delivery of works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works on site.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical documents.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on M&E progress and work status.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supervising M&E works in building construction projects.
• Experience working for a main contractor will be highly advantageous.
• Familiar with M&E systems including ACMV, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.
• Able to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
